On themorning of January 3, 2025, Albano Vicente Lopes Ferreira, the new Minister ofHigher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Angola, inspected theScience and Technology Project (Phase I) constructed by the group's construction sector, and conducted on-siteinspections to understand the construction quality and progress of the project, accompaniedby the owner’s representative Ricardo Queirós the supervision company’s representativeTypsa EngConsult, as well as the projecttechnical team led by Song Zhuoya, the group’s CEO and General Manager of the Africa Business Division.
The Science and Technology Project (Phase I)is a national level projectinitiated by the Angolan government and implemented by the Ministry of HigherEducation, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI). 90% of the projectfunds are financed by loans from the African Development Bank (ADB), with theremaining 10% provided by the Angolan government. After the completion, the project willplay a role in the fields of scientific research, promotion of scientific research achievements, talentcultivation, incubation of innovative enterprises, and formulation of nationalscientific data management policies in Angola. The Angolan government also hopes that the delivery and use of the project could promote innovation anddevelopment in the country's scientific and technological fields, and transformthe scientific research achievements into productive forces that promote the national diversified economic development.
After inspecting the entire project andlistening to the report by the owner's representative, Minister Albanorecognized the construction progress, completion quality ofthe project and gave a positive evaluation. The Minister said hewas satisfied that the project contractor had done a great job in allaspects and organized every link well.
The Project has been highly concerned by Angolaparties since the commencement of the project. Minister Albano's inspectionshows the high importance attached by the Ministry of Higher Education,Science, Technology and Innovation to the construction of the project. Whileaffirming the effectiveness of the project construction, Minister Albano alsoexpressed satisfaction and recognition for the construction and managementcapabilities of the project contractor.
On April 10th, Angolan President Joao Lourenco led a delegation of State Councilors, the Minister of Construction, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Higher Education, and others to inspect the Luanda Science and Technology Development Project(Phase I).
On September 20, 2024, President of the African Development Bank Akinwumi Adesina and his delegation visited Angola and inspected the Angola Science and Technology Development Project(Phase I) constructed by the group's construction sector.
On March 10, 2023,1 Phase I of the Science and Technology Development Project (STDP) in Luanda, implemented and constructed by the Overseas Construction Branch of PBIH Group, held a grant groundbreaking ceremony in the UAN Architectural Design Building located on Ho Chi Minh Avenue in Maianga District. and attracted a gathering of dignitaries.
The "2023 ZGC Forum" held in Beijing from May 26 to 30 under the theme of "Open Cooperation for a Shared Future" and the purpose of fostering global scientific and technological innovation ccooperation. As one of the first 49 foreign-funded R&D centers recognized by Beijing, Phoenix Bridge Group Innovation Center was also invited to take the stage to receive the nameplate.
Recently, the R & D center of Phoenix Bridge Holdings (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Phoenix Bridge Group, was recognized jointly by Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park as one of the first group of Beijing foreign-funded R & D centers in 2022.
On July 21, Jinfa Construction, a subordinate unit of the group, participated in the second Ministerial Advisory Committee Meeting held by the Ministry of Public Works and Land Planning of Angola in Bengo province.
