In 2002, Angola ended its 27 years of civil war and entered the period of post-war recovery and reconstruction. In 2007, the Angolan government decided to build a large-scale comprehensive urban project on the ruins to the southwest of Dundo, North Lunda, Angola - Dundo Ecological Social Housing Project.  Phoenix Bridge took part in the design, consulting, purchasing, construction of the Dundo Ecological Social Housing Project, making a tremendous contribution to project’s delivery as well as its widely acclaimed reputation.

The Phase I of the project covers an area of 1.15 million square meters, including urban planning and design, infrastructure design and construction, public buildings design and construction, urban ecological auxiliary works design and construction (including Sewage Treatment Plant , Water Supply Plant, landscaping, etc.), the design and construction of residential buildings. The total settlement amount of contract is 1.45 billion US dollars.

The project won the gold award for architectural design and the gold award for planning of the 2008 China human habitat building planning. The former Angolan President Dos Santos praised the project as "creating the fastest construction speed in Angola and shocking Angola." The project has also won praise from local officials and people, such as "the most beautiful project in Dundo" and "the beautiful scenery in Dundo".
